Default Very sad news

Dear MLU folks,

It is with much sadness and regret, that I inform you of the passing of fellow member Cliffs wife Kathie.

Poor Kathie had been very unwell for months, with an incurable cancer, and required round the clock monitoring and care towards the end. Kathie lost her battle with cancer at 1430hrs, on Monday 25th May (last Monday).

I did not have the opportunity to know Kathie for any great length of time or in depth, but I can say without fear of contradiction that she was a delightful lady, who was very easy to talk with. I always left the home with a little happier than I had arrived. Just a great lady to be around.

Kathie and Cliff were a good match. They complimented each other, and their love for each other was palpable. There are a lot of people out there that could learn a few lessons from them both. It is absolutely cruel that such a dreadful circumstance has resulted in Kathie losing her life. There is no justice in the world. Kathie and Cliff should have had many, many more years together. They deserve better than this. I know Cliff reasonably well, and just feel so sad that he has to experience such a life changing grief.

I trust you will all join me in sending Cliff our best wishes, condolences, and every possible support.

Kathies funeral service is tomorrow, 10am, at Gympie Funerals chapel on Brisbane Rd, Gympie.
