Default 18pdr

I have some pictures of my Grandad (centre of picture), he was in the Royal Artillary. I am trying to date the photograph, also what would be carried in the bandolier he is wearing ?.

Default Inter war period

Couldn't say with 100% accuracy, but it is the 18pdr with box trail, post 1918.

I would hazard a guess at mid 1920's.

certainly prior to the updated 18/25pdr of the 1930's.

George.

Default 18 25 pdr

It looks to me the as the modified 18pdr, with the later breech block.

Inter-war period, I would hazard a guess at early to mid 1930's

George.
