Default Carrier in Ireland

I have been on the case of this carrier for some time now. It's obviously been pulled out of the ditch recently. Some friends of mine are in contact with the owner (farmer I think). He is asking £6000 for it and there is an engine in a crate.
Someone from this forum has asked me to keep them informed, but for the life of me I can't remember who. If you PM me with your email address, I can send lots of pictures and contact details of my Irish friends. Ron

Ron, I think it was Bill Ruston, see this thread.

And the rest of us want to see pictures of this discovery too!

Default price

Is £6000 a fair market British Isles price for a rebuild project? Or, is the seller reading too many high end militaria magazines?

Ah yes I remember Bill got enthusiastic about owning a carrier, but he's all excited about his recent QL acquisition at present. I have no real idea about the value of such a project in UK....Save to say they are not readily available here.....We have no bush!! Ron

i wouldn't say it was a bargain but if it does have a crated flathead with it then i reckon £6k is a fair price
