Default Tracked Truck 1.1 ton

G'day all, I am really enjoying the MLU and seeing what others dreams are made of. My present situation only allows me to collect images of old Australian armour. However due to my very close proximity to the Puckapunyal Tank Museum I can get my fix easily.

I have gathered photos of an interesting carrier that was built in Australia for cross country load carting. The Tracked Truck 1.1 ton, capable of towing either a 6pdr AT gun, 25pdr and ammo up to 1.1t. This example is a concept vehicle and just a bare shell.

On a very interesting point the Tracked Truck has hinged idlers that aid in steering the tracks.

Well that's all I have on this battle bus.

Very interesting, and what a unique method of the warp steering. Thanks for posting the photos.

Glad your enjoying it here easo, with quality photos like the ones your posting, I'm sure you'll get plenty of requests.
BTW, is that a Sentinel in the background of one shot?

Default Steering

This is the same front end as Colin Jones's unique LP3 (which is what made it an LP3)

Default Tracked truck

Type "tracked truck" into the war memorial search for some on active service pics.
