Parades and such in Cambridge Ontario
Greetings all -
The Canada Day parade in Camb On is a very well attended event in the old Preston part of town. For some reason , this town really turns out for a pde. Myself, Stewart Loy, and as of last year, Jordan Baker have led the pde in our carriers loaded with veterans and re-enactors. (note that's not "...loaded, with veterans....") Fuel stipend is available. Any persons with mil vehicles who wish to add themselves to the event , please contact me. Equally as important, the Warrior Day committee has asked me to muster veh and such for their parade. Sept 12-13, if you include the opening ceremonies on Fri Night. The pde steps off about mid-day, afer which the veh will be on display at the preston legion. Again a fuel stipend is avail. I'll give more details to those who indicate an interest in attending.

Charlie, Stewart, Jordan, Geoff et al........I would dearly love to have my C15A down there in the parade.
However, the cost of fuel and the float costs (last quoted at $85.00 per hour, door to door) preclude my attending. {Where the hell is the sad-faced icon?}

A bit of an error?
Nites,
You were thinking of the Toronto Warriors Parade. The website claims a unique event, but there was a Warriors Parade last week in London to open the Western Fair, one today in Preston, and another in London on the 27th in Victoria Park. At least that is what I hope went on, according to the 6 veterans in my Carrier this morning. The HLI/RHFC gang was on parade, with marching bands, flying flags - and it didn't rain a drop until I started to unload in B'Ville after it was all over. Another success. Stewart |

Looks like my bad.
I tried all day to get online here to retrieve some information from this forum (stored in my PM's inbox) with some contact #'s. The server being down didn't help. Maybe next year. I am going to start lining up the remembrance day parade here in Hamilton. Nites |

Best Parade Around
Nites,
Not a problem at all. The folks in Preston have the bestest Canada Day parade anywhere - you should plan on it for next year. It occasionally coincides with the Dominion Day festivities in the same city. Charlie Fitton has it circled on his daytimer already, as do I. Please keep us informed of what is up on Remembrance Day in Hamilton. I have not heard a peep of what is going on around these parts. Stewart |
