Default Mlu Stickers

I was going to call this subject "MLU Stickers in Strange Places", but given this crowd's sense of humour, I thought I would amend the subject somewhat.

I am wondering just how far afield these stickers will go, and on what type of surface we may expect to find them. Here is my first offering which I call "Decorating at Work":

Default On The Road

Here is a very fuzzy shot of the sticker on the dash of Bob's truck this Saturday. We hit a bump at the very moment I took the shot. No sense in taking another as we were bouncing along over the road which was suffering from the annual spring heaving season.

Default In My Van

Cuz I'm cheap, I just put a sticker on my front dash (with the backing paper still intact). Note also the SOT decal on the inside of the windshield (the outside magnetic stickers tend to "disappear"...).

Default More Travelling Decals

While visiting the in-laws, I had a chance to stop in Pictou NS. Since it was raining, I decided to take a shot of the good ship Hector in Pictou harbour, and noticed later that I captured my MLU sticker/Decal in the shot:

Default Point of Interest

The good ship Hector (all of my Scottish friends know her well), suffered an attack by Mother Nature and lost the top of one of her masts. A replacement mast is on its way from BC.

If I had the expertise to be able to post pics on this forum, I'd show the MLU sticker on the windscreen of an MLVW, "zapped" before I turned it in to the BTnO.

Carmen: I sent it to Sunray. I think he's going to post it.

Thanks for the offer, though.

I thought you we're going to, Pronto, otherwise I would have. I'll do it when I get home, but reserve the right to add my own comments...

Old dogs, new tricks, yeah, yeah... heard it all before.

No matter, SUNRAY to the rescue... yet again... jeez, I should charge by the post, I'd be living in the lap of luxury right now, issuing directions from on high (Swallow it! That has nothing whatsoever to do with a 'high chair', so don't even think it!! ) to my hordes of eager minions waiting pathetically at my feet to do my bidding. Alas...

Ahem... Ladies & Gentlemen (and I do use that term loosely), this is photographic evidence that Her Majesty's Canadian Armed Forces now sport mandatory MLU decals on their vehicles. The two-legged subject in the photo is the Unmentionable One (how he took a picture of himself is beyond me) pointing out the incontrovertable evidence that MLU has indeed passed into the realm of Officialdom, at least on CFB Meaford's MLVWs (Maple Leaf Volks Wagons). Said Unmentionable One (who loosely styles himself as a SIGS O) was just finishing up a summer driver training stint at said base (you'd have thought 39 years in would have been enough!).

Thanks mate!

Default MLU Sticker In Germany

Some shots of my well-travelled MLU sticker during my trip to Germany - ignore the date stamp - the camera took a fall and the electronics didn't dig the shock...

First, the MLU sticker at the conference:

MLU sticker 35,000 ft over northern Labrador (around 3PM today):
