Trailer ID
I have just bought a ' Trailer 8 CWT 2 Wheeled, hose-carrying' CONT.NO. 6/VEH/8284 Chassis No V.8739 Vehicle No 13813RN. As photos below. I guess it was designed for carrying fire hoses behind a pump maybe and with the vehicle number ending RN I further guess Royal Navy? May be war time or maybe post war. I am not really into fire fighting equipment and internet searches have drawn a blank. Any help with identifying this would be great, the draw bar and hitch especially may well not be standard as it is a 2" ball hitch rather than a ring. It was very cheap so if I can't ID it then it will become a very useful GS trailer for one of our smaller vehicles to tow.

With a contract number prefix of 6/VEH/, I am sure the trailer is post war.
