For Sale: 2 unknown bars.....leaves....things....25pdr maybe?

These two bars came with a bunch of parts that Hanno and I bought a while ago. I have no idea what they are.....any ideas?

At first glance it looks like a pair of spring leaves, but they have some bends in it, and a hole at each end. Could they be skids from something? braces for a tow hitch?
US.....25 pounder or maybe Limber??

Width 51mm__2"
Overall Length of the bars is about 101cm__39 3/4",
Thickness almost 7mm

They are looking for a new home; 50 Euro for the pair.

I have a hunch the bars might be braces from a Harvey Frost crane. The parts came from an auction where an C15A with Harvey Frost crane was also on auction. Now I look at it....the previous owner might have modified the crane a little, and these parts ended up in storage. Still a hunch though!
