Spring-loaded latches
Hi,
Does anyone have, or know where I would be able to acquire this type of latch? I need at least 15 of them for the workshop in my C8A ZL-1. They are the same type as the ones used for the metal locking side curtain flaps. They seem to be relatively easy to make but I sadly don't have the tools for it... Thanks! |

Perhaps you could find this style of latch and rob it for the necessary parts. These have been widely used for years on industrial vehicles for cabinet latches. You may be able to find them used. I included the link for information and measurements. Paul |

Marty,
They look a lot like 60's Mustang latches, but I have no idea if the size matches. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1965-1966-1...-/143540690083 https://www.adamscc.nl/nl/67-68-trap-door-latch-fb But, getting 15 could be quit costly. Unless you are able to find the original item, I would indeed look at making your own. There is a number of firms here in Holland that supply folded profiles on demand...that should give you the Omega-profile. The remainder could be done with simple hand tools and some elbow grease. Springs from Amatec, or an online source. Alex
