Hello All,
I just got back from a trip to get some parts and took some photos that the CMP might like. Enjoy Oh I now have two exterior door handles and a horn off trucks the same vintage as mine - 1940. ![]() Kind Regards Lionel |

Lionel,
Where did you take the photo's or is that a secret? Looks a bit like Dalby? Are you coming to the Jeep club swap at Canungra? Cheers Jeff

Always interesting to see pics of new CMPs. Just goes to show how many of them are in this country.
Looks like that place specialises in saving cabs and throwing away the rest. Did you photograph or record any data plate details?

Any chance that the roof hatches are salvagable and are the front window frames rotten. So many UK cabs have suffered from our wet climate and the window frames rot.
Whats the chances you can go into mail order cab parts business from that Hidden location. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() stephen |

![]() I could find out information about the frames and hatches for you from the owner of the yard as the owner is pretty approachable. I did notice that some trucks were missing hatches and a couple that were there were a bit rusty. Let me know what model and parts you are after. To be honest I am only just coming around to CMPs as I have a MCP truck + a pre- WWII Civilian truck - Leeann was better pointing out the CMPs than I was. I had a photo taken of a truck similar to my Chevrolet Holden and when I looked at the photo there was a CMP in the background and I did not even notice it in the yard at the time. Pretty thick aye! ![]() Thanks for looking at the photos - if I can help you just let me know. Kind Regards Lionel |

![]() ![]() My first priority was finding parts for my truck and then seeing if there were any 1940 MCP Fords with nice V8 engines. CMP's were a bit lower down on the list of things - sorry. I found two MCP Fords but they were total basket cases. ![]() The CMPs seem to be an exception in the yard because a lot of cabs from other trucks were missing. All that gets left behind are the front mudguards and bonnets. The passenger cell part of the cabs are bought by hot rodders and rat rodders to stick on car frames. They must not be able to do that with CMPs and they get left alone. Kind Regards Lionel |

G'day Jeff and others, I am new to things CMP so bear with me. So it seems that windscreen frames and roof hatches are a problem area of CMP's doesn't anybody make them as reproduction parts? The reason I am asking is that my REO Speed Wagon needs new WIndscreen frames too and I was hoping that there was a manufacturer out there. Kind Regards Lionel |

Hello Jeff, I think I have done my last trip away for the year so I will have to put Canungra off until next year. Just like I put off going to the HCVAQ Swapmeet at Cleveland that I have wanted to go to for at least five years. It comes down to those two big restrictions - time and money ![]() Gee my memory has become really hacked lately... now where did I take those photos? ![]() Kind Regards Lionel |
