The best use I saw for one of those chassis was installing a fifth wheel plate to allow moving around fifth wheel trailers in the yard without having to hook up the fifth wheel each time.
Aside from that, I have always found those trailers a bit of a dog. They are too heavy with too small a capacity. Resale wise, a 1/4 ton trailer is far more valuable than a 3/4 ton trailer, and a 3/4 ton trailer is more desirable than a 1-1/2 ton trailer.
