A couple more factors that will vary the color of the paint are how it was stored (ie: frozen) how old it is (thicker) and the amount and type of reducer used to spray it.

Re trailers, and all the B vehicles for that matter, by the early 90s all were being painted the flat green. Some units would still cam the trailers and continue to cam the trucks, but flat green and it's later CARC equivelent (not the olive) was the correct color.
