For the cage nuts, are you hunting for caged nuts to fit a 3/8 thread or nuts 3/8 across flats (for smaller threads)?

Mcmaster- Carr sell a style that could be modified and welded on but not identical to those used on CMPs.

Fastenal also sell cage nuts similar to the McMaster ones designed to clip into a panel

And there's always ebay - searching "weld cage nuts" got results for threads from 1/4 to 1/2 inch in flat ear style similar used on CMP except that the cage is in 2 pieces rather than 1. These 2 part cages must be current production.
