'Canadian Military Pattern' (CMP) trucks were Canada's Jeep during WWII, and they were a big deal.

I’d never even heard of Canadian Military Pattern trucks; in fact, when I first laid eyes on the machine above, I thought it might have been some kind of homemade Swedish workhorse.”
But after lots of googling David found MLU and learned about the importance of the CMP:
