Default Anzac Day 2020.

Anzac Day at Newlands Arm. It was the first time in 34 years that I did not have an ex-military vehicle at the Paynesville and Bairnsdale Anzac Day services. Jill and I parked General Saviges staff car out at the front gate with the parker lights on and the radio playing the service. The neighbours where also out at their gate and listened to the Last Post on our radio. The fog rolled in as the dawn approached. It was an erie sound to listen to the Last post in the fog.

My Grandfathers, Fathers and my medals saw the light of day together once again.

It was a different day and I hope the circumstances requiring the change are never repeated.

Keep well out there.

Lest We Forget.

Rick.
