Ford production date: 14 Jan 1944
So far, matching numbers. However -
WD census is CT162220.
Per MLU's lists, CT1622** were produced in late 1942. The question remains as to how it was allocated to a vehicle produced some 15 months later.
Any ideas?
Thank you!
Could you please clarify what carrier you are looking at? As you are presently posting on a thread about what is clearly a different carrier, perhaps it would be more appropriate to start a different thread and provide some images with your narrative.

So far your observations about the apparent gap in the numbers does make it appear there is an obvious mistake. I am thinking the WD number may belong to a November, 1942 production UC-2 mortar carrier built on a factory MK-I* hull.
