Garry: Quickie response, without looking up any reference material, but going from (feeble) memory from Blackburn's Artillery trilogy...FOO radioed back to a single gun in the battery. That gun did ranging shots, upon which the other guns took up their appropriate aiming positions. Battery fire then commenced.
