David, good to hear it seems we are on the right track. What might help is if I increase my knowledge of the military designation system. I usually refer to
this Ford & Mercury Model Identification Chart. Those civil designations should take me halfway there, as I assume the C098TFS is the Canadian version of the US 098-T (4x2 158"wb 1½ Ton Truck), correct? Any help in this is welcome.
See the Ford MCP trucks in the background of the attached picture (taken at the Ford Canada plant at Windsor, Ontario) - those must be C098TFS trucks.
