Apparently Canadian Kodak Company manufactured both the Mk III and Mk IX Military Compass during World War 2. Quite possibly other Marks were manufactured by them as well.
A number of years back at a local military show and sale event, I thought I had seen an instruction manual for a compass printed by Canadian Kodak.

An Australian optical company, JW Handley, also made MkIX compasses (as well as scopes for the .303 Heavy Barrel Sniper rifle, Artillery, Tank and Aircraft Sights), and I have seen a pamphlet on compasses, but it is an Army publication and the same size as other Army Pams of the period.
