M551 Sheridan tank, an airdroppable light tank. It has an 152mm rifled gun capable of firing HEAT rounds or guided missiles.
The US Army received the Sheridan in 1967. Although it went out of production in 1970, the 82nd Airborne Division still has a number of them in use as the current M1 Abrams tank cannot be parachuted from an aircraft. A couple of hundred are also still in use with the US Army's Opposing Forces Regiment at the National Training Center as "enemy" tanks in combat training.
