4th Fd Coy RCE is well written up in the Vol 2 of the History of the Corps of Royal Canadian Engineers. The index page (691) has about 2 dozen mentions, from Canada to UK to Italy to NW Europe and back to Canada.

As the son of an engineer veteran you are eligible to join the Canadian Military Engineer Association (CMEA) and take advantage of the member's-cost price for the histories. There are 3 published and a 4th in the works. Annual membership is $2.01 per month. The extra cent is a bit of trickery to get around the military's automatic deduction threshold for serving members.
(If you buy one of these books, I will very likely be handling it at some step. The triwalls of stock are kept in a space which I control.)
