Yes i can see what you are saying i got this fan unit from nordian services the ford people if ever there were, and wally at that time said it just had a shroud type cover that went over the right hand manifold thats looking at the vehicle from the front and thats where this fan i have fits to the cylinder block at times we used to come accross fords but were engaged on rebuilding chevs but still dismantled them and kept the parts and i have always wondered about this fan its a new one never been used
and ive always wondered if it was realy a ford part i was assured it was but could imagine the exaust manifold leaking into the shroud and the fan blowing carbon monoxide into the cab i have quite a few parts of the ford winterised kit including the primer pump jets that fit below the carb and all the ducting parts but not the piping so although we are not doing a ford i still find it interesting as to how that system was fitted and worked without poisoning the driver vic uk
