This is a two part video on YouTube that is well worth watching if you have the slightest interest in Engineering, bridging, German equipment or tactics. The videos appear to be newsreel type films in German with English subtitles portraying a German PionierAbtelung as it first peppers the far side of a river with an artillery and Stuka barrage, ferries infantry across to secure the opposite bank, then proceeds to bridge the river allowing vehicles to cross. It's a thrill as an Engineer to watch the choreography of a well trained detachment quickly and efficiently tackle a field problem. A bit long but well worth the watch. CHIMO! Derek.
