Default ID Plates

Hi guys
Without trying to rain on Grant's Parade and being a purist, caution should be applied on the style of ID Plate used. There were numerous variations depending on the manufacturer with some being mounted on the offside splasher as this one would be with others, and different shape, being mounted on the triangular section above and adjacent to the driver's toolbox. Attached is an image of a blank that was donated to our Society, unknown whether original or reproduction, and this is different again to the Society's 1941 SA Carrier. It is possible that in the later manufacturing era a generic plate was adopted, but knowing Australia's history and interstate rivalry, I doubt it.
