Hi Keith

Love old manufacturing movies - But think about what the safety boys would say. Being a Chevy person, I particularly enjoy the old GM stuff.

But what caught my eye right off the bat, was the guys in the machine shop wearing neck ties. Yes, it was the fashion but really. My dad was an electrical engineer but worked on a lot of electro/mechanical equipment. I know I never saw him with a regular tie always wore clip-on bow ties.

When I was running an engineering project we had an old school machinist in charge of the machine shop, that old guy would hit of the power kill buttons in the shop that would stop all motors every-time some suit wearing a tie would walk into the shop. Don't really know if he was that safety conscious or just saw visitors to his shop as being a waste of time.

Cheers Phil
