One went down in the Blue Mountains/Burragorang Valley during WW2 with 4 Military personnel and an Airforce pay Cashbox aboard. No trace has ever been found despite numerous searches.

Rumours persist about one of it's wooden propellor hubs, with serial number, floating up against the dam wall at Warragamba after flooding in more recent years...only rumours though.

*Warragamba Dam was buit in the late 1950s to supplement Sydney's inadequate water supply. Surplus Matilda and Grant tanks were used by contractirs to remove all timber from the proposed submerged areas.

Lake Burragorang now covers what was once rich farmlands and a town - and possibly even the sad crash site of that lost Military Dragon and her crew...

Cheers
