It's SUPPOSED to work like this...
Engage first gear,
engage the clutch and get rolling,
run up to MAX revs - if your govenor is working
press clutch, shift to neutral
release cluch let engine idle
press clutch shift into second
release clutch and repeat steps in 2nd, 3rd.
Now coming back down the gears
ease throttle and apply brake until engine is at idle
depress clutch and shift to neutral
engage clutch and run RPM to govenor stop
engage clutch and shift to next lower gear
engage clutch....
It's a bitch to get the first few times - but it does get easier.
Now lets talk about going over logs...
and dragging guns uphill and keeping the Stacey tow attached..
