To add grist to the mill, the construction method of those chests and the hardware are 100% identical to CNo.7 .22 rifle chests, and pretty close to No.4(T) sniper rifle chests. The screws will be straight slot, not Robertson. If you look at a bottom corner (lower left I think), there will be a stamped marking. It will be MCV or such. There is another marking for a company in Haileybury, Ontario. Some rifle chests have two markings; the maker and a gratuitous LB for Long Branch.
