Default Why am I interested in a later 235 CID motor?

As it happens, I have more chassis than motors. The 235 is very similar to the 216 in size, shape and appearance and even shares some parts with the 216. This isn't surprising since the 235 (and later the 261) were derived from the 216. Since the 235 is more plentiful than the 216, has a better oiling system, is a bit more powerful and can be made to look even more like a wartime motor with some careful fakery I feel that it is an allowable liberty to substitute one for the other, so long as you are honest about it.
