It appears that this one would have made a good "donor" for someone who had a complete armoured hull sans drivetrain.

Just to put things into perspective, within the last 2 years two carriers I saw go at auctions here in Ontario went in the $2500 - $3000 range. Both had complete armour, drivetrains and "goodies" still attached...

I think this just goes to show the "trap" that many enthusiasts fall into. Pay way too much for too little to only find out that the actual restoration cost is going to fall into the thousands of dollars later.

Once you are finally finished and decide to sell and move on to something else, the cheapskates come out in droves expecting to get a really good "deal". I would hazzard a guess to say that carrier needs a minimum of $10,000 plus a donor hull just to make it right. Whats the going price on a fully restored carrier these days???
