A Teacher's Observation
This is an amazing survivor story, and I for one thank you for sharing it.
I am finding that most kids (in the US anyway) seem to be filled to the ears when they are in grade school with Holocaust history and what I generally call "victim" history. We all need to remember; I do not argue that one. BUT I find that most teachers and perhaps too many parents spend too much time teaching about the victims and not about those who helped to put an end to it. Doing this makes more victims not more problem solvers.
I suspect I am preaching to the choir here, but my two cents worth of my declining dollar . . . .
