There are companies out there that restore cars, bikes trucks and the like. But true love and understanding of your ride comes from hands on experience....in my opinion. I restored my 1975 Corvette, and I am working on my ferret mk 2/3 as we speak.
No company will be able to do work to your standards apart fom you! Something will always be wrong, or bugging you....so I say do it yourself..... With a little help from friends or experts once and a while. Farm out a fender to the local sandblaster, or engine work at a proffesional shop, but the time and effort will show when you are seen in town with the sh&t eating smile that can't be wiped from your face. Besides, a cool scar on your nuckels is a way better story to fellow car lovers than a lame excuse as to why your wallet is empty (you wouldn't be at the car show anyways, as you couldn't afford the fuel to show off said vehicle).
Pride in ownership!
My two cents
