Hi Phil:
Our mint cover has the 1/2 inch flat webbing you describe. It is the same colour as '37 pattern webbing and appears to be the same material as used for some of the narrower starps on said webbing.
Looking forward to the drawings as I didn't want to cut ours apart to use as a pattern.
