Cliff, it's winter... that means that once the mail bags are dropped off by clipper ship quayside in Vancouver, the Pony Express has to take them, and the horses don't make that many miles in a day through the snow and ice.
If they make it as far as Karmen's place, they'll winter a little further east of her, then be here by, oh... October or so. Ah well, pretty pictures anyway! What were those pictures of again?
