In fact, in service (mid 1944 onwards) both sets and dishes were often dismounted from the trailer and moved into buildings - especially high ones - to improve the line of sight.

The method of construction of these trailers is such that all four walls can be easily and quickly dismounted by a couple of blokes with a spanner each! (We know, we did this last weekend.)

So iIwouldn't assume necessarily that the sets arrived with trailers - although of course if there are trailers surviving in Australia they probably did.
