I've had this picture sitting on my hard drive for some time now with a mind to eventually I.D.ing it. I've considered all the Vickers light tanks, but none resemble it. The Marmon-Herrington T-14/16 series of light tanks comes closest, coupled with the fact that this picture was taken in Ft. Benning lends credence to that conclusion. However, the one picture I have of the T-16 light tank shows some small differences in the track pads and a single towing eye up front. Marmon-Herrington built 240 units for export to China and the Dutch East Indies as the CTLS-4TAY and CTLS-4TAC. They weren't delivered as the Japanese overran these countries. The U.S. Army reluctantly used them in Alaska and other remote areas, some were exported to Iran, and the U.S.M.C. bought a few for trials.
Any thoughts?
