Recently a lot of land rover things have become "Rare" or "unique" like many military vehicle parts, and the price bumped u;.
For that price you could buy a mint condition one in the UK, import it and still have spare change!!!
That price is insane, and I know of at least 4 others in person apart from this one, more if I put my mind to it
