Thanks for that Cliff ... will give that a shot when I can pick up some potting soil.
I started an avacado plant from an avacado pit ... don't toss those avacado pits if you like big house plants - they can grow into huge plants ... polk 4 toothpicks in the sides of a pit and sit the pits/picks on a glass rim, bottom of pit sittig in water, and it will root ... plant when rooted ... voila. I always forget which end of the pit to put in the water though
