I have merged Louis' two Foden threads into one, and added the original thread Louis referenced; the pics and drawing furnished by Les might be particularly useful.

Louis, make sure you hit the 'post reply' button rather than the 'new thread' button when you want to reply to an existing thread - that keeps it all in one place. Just train yourself to go for the button far right bottom.

(note to self - find the damned button and change its colour!)

To the subject at-hand - has anyone any information which would help Louis in his restoration efforts? Knowing this crowd, surely one of you has tripped over something in past?

Louis, have you any photographs of what you have now? I can set them up for posting if so...
