Default Ah....check the FRONT axle.....

DAve......

Get a close up of the front axle...... it looks like an early GM Heavy duty cast type..... with NO bolted front cover..... that would confirm the early Frod model when Frod axles where either non existant or in short supply.....see pic attached of a cab 11 early CGT.....

If you have time..... remove the cast hub cap of the front axle....remove the cotter pin...... go fishing in side the centre hole.... I would bet you a full 24 of cold beer that you will find the inside wall of the centre hole threaded.... then if you insert a thin long flat blade screw driver you will find the screw slot....

.... you then have an early R-Zeppa u-joint axle...... a real piece of fine watchmaking work..... all of which makes the whole assembly of the truck worthwhile.....
