I have just checked out the casting numbers on the half ton dodge project that i have outside and they are 579298-3 with the same C P D D logo, although there is no date code, such as o
n your engine .
My dodge is a WC21 with an engine number of T 215-25752s with a build date of around mid march 1942 .
I hope this helps with your id
let me know if you wish to part with the engine as i could use a spare .
