While I'm on a roll here... let's take Jon's comment and pick on the Muslims too.
We all know that the world runs on oil. Without it we're in big trouble. Probably the only reason we actually deal with Muslims anyhow as they have nothing else the world wants or needs, aside from some figs and dates.
Eventually we are going to run out, and that is why I truly believe that r&d in alternative energy sources such as biodiesel and ethanol fuel types is so important. Mateer of fact, BP Oil is a world leader in R&D work on this very subject. They have identified the fact that they are in the oil business and to survive longterm they need to look at the future.
They have gone so far as to change their slogan to Beyond Petroleum.
Wouldn't it be nice to tell the Muslim world where to go? Keep you oil, we don't need it. Your empires can sit and go dormant in the desert and we don't care... and BTW, no, the doors are closed as we don't want your people either
