BC seems to grow REALLY BIG skunks ... give them lots of room when you spot them and their little babies walking across your lawn.
I've always heard that KETCHUP was good to slather on animals sprayed by a skunk, to try and get rid of the smell. I don't know if this actually works.

Fortunately, I had a bottle of something called "Skunk-off" in reserve. It neutralizes the biologics in skunk juice. It was 2300h and I had to rub it into him through his three layers of fur. Even then it didn't take everything out. He stunk worse than when we were on the farm and he was rolling in fresh horse-poop. Retrievers are darlings, but they can be dumb as door mice.
