The carrier in your photo belongs to the 49th Reconnaissance Regiment of the British 49th (West Riding) Infantry Division.
On the attached copy of your photo, the Arm of Service Serial of '41' appears on the left and the formation sign (Polar Bear) of the 49th (West Riding) Infantry Division appears on the right.
