I was also lucky enough to be chosen to be part of the Honour Guard at the opening ceremonies at one of the Grey Cup games in Vancouver. Canadian football and the Grey cup are two of the few bastions of true Canadian culture that keep us unique in the world.

During the 1962 "Fog Bowl", I, and other Signal Corps guys, drove Chamber of Commerce officials around in our Chev 15 cwt WIRE-5s as part of the pre-game hype. (Calgary horse riding guys rode their mounts into the Royal York Hotel's rotunda).
We got to sit inside Varsity Stadium, in our CMPs, to try and watch the game...up to about the 3rd quarter.
If you might recall, the game was called on Saturday, due to absolute no viz situation. The 4th quarter had to be played on Sunday. Forget who won...didn't care then, don't care now.
History lesson ends.
