Based on the evidence so far it would appear that Chevrolet fitted BOTH types of rear fair leads, so after my initial replies, it would appear that your Chev's butt is correct. As for me, it's a case of live and learn !. Maybe, the trucks fitted with winches, i.e C30 & C60's were fitted with only one type, whereas the gun tractors had either type.
