Thats OK Mike, don't go to any trouble.
As far as I can tell, the laplander was a quite limited production veh and quirky from a spares standpoint.
The C303 series were used right up until recently and the last one mfg in the early 80's.
I know that spares for these aren't as easy as the stuff we have over here but from my reseach they are very reliable and have little to go wrong with them.
The regular maintenance items like filters etc are off the shelf.
All brake components are Landrover and quite available.
The engine is the B30 Volvo same as the car engines in the 1970's and use the same parts.
Most of the electrical is Bosch.
Many guys have already made cross reference list for parts as well and many of the items if not available as surplus can be sourced from NAPA or right from Volvo.
Those Swedes are smart enough to utilize off the shelf technology and not over engineer their vehicles.
Apparently they are easier to get parts for than a Pinzgauer or a Landrover 101 and cheaper.
The hard to find items are things like body parts and from what I have read, many were rebodied with aluminim bodies or aluminized steel.
Any comments appreciated...
