i think its a lot more complicated than it seems.

1. there are way too many dumb asses in the world " hey kids lets go to the mid east for vacation". what ever happened to the darwin awards?

2. there are only soo many beds and food in cyprus and if you move 100,000 people there with no food or water you would be on the BBC and CNN with pictures just like at the supper dome in neworleans last year.

3. the IDF is being specific about where it hits and how it hits. it even warns the residents via the media and leaflets prior to hitting areas.

4. if you have thousands of americans, brits, aussies, ets all together ... you are just waiting for a bad thing to happen. what would stop the hesbula from dropping a rocket on them and saying it was the IDF? nothing.

5. it may be slow but now there are NATO, US, RN, and other combat ships to back up the civilian ships in port. there is a real fear that the civ ships will be hit by mad hesbula or leb forces. again it would be blamed on the IDF. could you imagen the press if a ship went down with 1000 children at night? al-quida is in leb and ready to strike if it sees a good soft target.

6. leb media is being increadably stupid. they are clameing that the IDF is useing nerv gas and WP rounds in southern leb. also a F-16 was shot down and the IDF is targeting school busses.

im sure that everyone who wants to get out will, everyone justs needs to take a deep breath, chill, and give the IDF a free hand to do the house cleaning that the EU,UN, LEB, NATO, AL, and US were suposed to do in the first place (disarm all non government militaries).
