What is this off?

Ok... any ideas what this pistol grip is off?
It is very wll made, mainly out of Brass and the leaver on the side is the safty catch. There are no markings at all on it. I'm guessing it's out of a British AFV and thinking in the lines as being 2pdr firing trigger out of a matilda tank???
