I get the impression that "Smokey" is very much his own person, pretty outspoken, unpretentious, forthright and quite the character...and FULL of character??? In fact... he sounds like a "country boy"...was he??? It would be really neat to meet him. Maybe if I get to Vancouver soon (8 or so hours drive) I'll see if I can wangle a meeting
